Sculpture
Around 1981 I began focusing more time on 3-D sculptural work, including free-standing sculpture, large mobiles, and 3-D wall installations. I have created all different kinds of sculptural artwork, most of it commissioned by individuals, corporations, or city agencies. Usually my work features a great deal of hand-embellishment, ranging from mirrors to my favorite material, a silicone medium from a tube, making what I call "Prickles." When I apply them to a surface, I pull back very fast so it comes to a point like a Candy Kiss. They look spikey and perhaps somewhat dangerous, but in fact they are relatively soft.
